After breaking up with her bad-news boyfriend, Reagan O’Neill is ready to leave her rebellious ways behind. . . and her best friend, country superstar Lilah Montgomery, is nursing a broken heart of her own. Fortunately, Lilah’s 24-city tour is about to kick off, offering a perfect opportunity for a girls-only summer of break-up ballads and healing hearts. But when Matt Finch joins the tour as its opening act, his boy-next-door charm proves difficult for Reagan to resist, despite her vow to live a drama-free existence. This summer, Reagan and Lilah will navigate the ups and downs of fame and friendship as they come to see that giving your heart to the right person is always a risk worth taking. A fresh new voice in contemporary romance, Emery Lord’s gorgeous writing hits all the right notes.

I'm going to start off by saying that I really enjoyed this book. For some reason as soon as I started reading it, I imagined that it was about Taylor Swift and her best friend. I'm guessing that is because Dee is a young country super star. I really enjoyed being able to "go on tour" with both Dee and Reagan.

I loved the friendship between Reagan and Dee. Honestly, I'm kind of jealous. Not because Reagan has a famous best friend, but because she has a best friend who is there for her no matter what and is just an overall awesome best friend. They are so close that they are practically like sisters. I definitely with I could have a friendship like that. Dee doesn't let her fame get to her head. She is still very down to earth and a very sweet person.

I really liked the relationships in this book. Dee was newly out of a relationship that broke her heart. I think this allowed her to grow up a little and learn what she really wants in life. I also really liked Reagan and Matt together as well. I think that being with Matt allowed Reagan to realize how messed up her past was and how she wants to be in the future.

I think that this story line was very cute. It definitely makes for a very good summer read.  I think that the writing style was also great. It flowed really nicely which allowed for this to be a really easy read.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I definitely recommend this book if you like a good road trip book! I can't wait to reading more by this author in the future.
