Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris–until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all…including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

This book. Oh man, what can I say about this book? First of all, let’s start with saying how amazing this book is! This is one of very few books that I read in one day. I seriously couldn’t and did not want to put it down! The characters, the story, everything.. It was all just so good!

The way this book was written was too good. The way that Stephanie Perkins was able to have the more the plot along without the story being too fast or too slow, it was incredible! You always want to know what happens next. This book definitely keeps you on the edge and to want to keep reading more and more until the book is over.
The way that Perkins also has the “almost” love story moment is also really awesome. There are parts all throughout the book when you think “this is it, they’re finally going to kiss” and then nothing happens! It drives you insane because you know that they are meant for each other from the moment they start talking to one another. All you want is for them to finally kiss and to be together!
Another thing, the whole story is so believable! I have read a lot of books where you could predict what was going to happen or you just knew that the two characters shouldn’t be together. But with Anna and Etienne, you can tell that they NEED to be together. They aren’t perfect like most books try to make people seem to be. They are just normal people who are destined to be together.
A book set in Paris..? What gets better than that? I mean it is the romance city of the world! Of course it’s going to make you want Anna and Etienne to be together even more! Also, the way that Perkins describes things in the book makes it seem like you are actually there. You can feel the weather that is happening, you can see the theaters that Anna is going to, and you can almost taste the food they are eating.
Now let’s talk about Mr. Étienne St. Clair! He is far from perfect, but he seems like the type of guy that could completely sweep you off your feet. He’s so sweet and caring. There definitely needs to be more guys like him, but in real life of course!  And the way Perkins describes him, he seem so incredibly gorgeous! What girl doesn’t want a hot guy who is also super sweet and caring?!
There is so much more that I could say about this book, but I will just end this and say that you should just go pick up a copy and read this book for yourself. It’s such an amazing book.
